Director
Harry is our dedicated surveyor with a decade of experience in various aspects of property, land and building surveying.
With a comprehensive background that spans both commercial and residential properties in project management, valuations, surveys, and retrofit coordination, Harry has built a reputation for delivering high-quality work throughout the South West region.
When he is not working or spending time with his young family, you’ll probably find him lost in a good book, one of his all-time favourite pastimes.
Fleur Wellum
Chief Executive
Joining in January 2024, with a background in accountancy, Fleur has spent the last decade working in the legal sector, as senior management for a local law firm.
Fleur’s multifaceted role involves overseeing finance, handling operational processes, managing HR, ensuring regulatory compliance and mitigating risk.
When she is not working or chasing after her two young sons, you will find her travelling to new destinations and experiencing different cultures.
Matthew Lawson
Building Surveyor
Matthew Lawson joined Briar Surveying in 2026, bringing over 20 years’ experience delivering professional building surveying services across the South West and beyond. He has advised a broad spectrum of public and private sector clients, including local authorities, housing associations, developers and private owners, across commercial, residential, heritage and coastal property.
A Chartered Building Surveyor and Chartered Environmentalist, Matthew has particular expertise in building pathology, insurance reinstatement cost assessments, dilapidations and sustainable refurbishment. He is also a qualified Expert Witness, providing clear, compliant reports to support clients in property-related disputes.
Outside of work, Matthew enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, as well as tinkering with instruments and gadgets in his shed.
Evie Price
Business Co-ordinator
Evie joined the team in the summer of 2022, after 4 years in residential and commercial conveyancing.
With a wealth of client coordination experience behind her, and a keen eye for detail, Evie ensures that our business is streamline and every matter is running efficiently.
When she is not working or looking after her 3 young children, you can find Evie baking up some impressive treats.
